Sun-Cured
In Indonesia, Sun-Cured (SC) tobacco is produced in Madura, Paiton, Weleri, Mranggen, Temanggung, Kedu, Muntilan, Magetan, Bojonegoro, Jombang, Mojokerto, Jember and Lumajang. SC tobacco is cured in the direct sun either hung or laid out on the ground. Cured leaf color ranges from light brown to dark brown. SC is packed in either loose leaf or hand stripped form and used primarily for cigarettes and cigar fillers. SC is marketed for both domestic and export.
